The Causeuses panels created in 1991 by Marie-Claude Lalique are a tribute to one of the main inspirations of Rene Lalique: the woman.
Genuine odes to the feminity, this frieze of languorous young women sculpted in satin crystal, are enshrouded with light. Their graceful softness figures are enhanced by the purity of the crystal. The satin finished crystal recalls the fineness of the skin texture while the light effects give life and movement to the piece. In 2004, LALIQUE retook this motif to adorn decorative panels.
